Clarence Temple, M.D.

Jefferson Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome Clarence Temple, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon to the medical staff.

"I am delighted to join the dynamic and progressive medical team here at Jefferson Regional," Dr. Temple said. "I'm so impressed with the positive atmosphere and capabilities of the entire staff. This truly is a healing atmosphere for the patient."

Dr. Temple's practice focuses on injuries and diseases of the body's musculoskeletal system including bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons and nerves. The components of care can include injury/disorder diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention.

"My approach to patient care is simple. I put myself into the shoes of the patient," Dr. Temple said. "My goals for the patient, by the time they leave my office, are: First, they have some idea of what their problem is. Second, they have some idea of what can be done for it. And third, if we are not sure what the problem is, we utilize options and resources such as a study or x-ray to find out. I try to make sure that all of the patient's questions are answered to their satisfaction. Once the problem is identified, and the diagnosis is established, then we review the patient's treatment options."

Dr. Temple earned his undergraduate degree in biology at Rice University in Houston, followed by his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed an internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, and residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. Dr. Temple served at the United States Naval Hospital in Charleston, NC. He is board certified in orthopedic medicine.

Dr. Temple looks forward to being a part of the Jefferson Regional medical community.

"My first goal is to complement the excellent existing care that you might normally expect in a city. For the patient I want to add convenience and the assurance that there is someone who wants to know what is going on with them as much as they do."

Dr. Temple's favorite activities include boating and fishing on Lake of the Ozarks, photography and flying.

"I also love spending time on our 750-acre farm in Texas. It has a beautiful, 70-acre lake, woods and abundant wildlife."

Dr. Temple is accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment, call 636-933-8050.
